The Breeze by Yuneec could change the much talked about selfie drone market.
There has been a huge buzz about drones targeted at users that primarily want to use them to take pictures of themselves and their friends. To date none of them have delivered (Lily and Airdog, anyone?).
Yuneec hopes to own this space with the release of The Breeze. Described as “the ultimate flying camera” it is controlled by mobile device.
Designed with ease of use top of mind, The Breeze is compact making it easy to carry around with you. It flies both indoors and outdoors, and has five easy-to-use flights modes including autonomous flight.
The Breeze by Yuneec is designed to take good quality aerial photos and videos, and users are able to instantly share these to social media using the “Breeze Cam” APP. So Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Whatsapp users are about to see lots of new drone selfies!
The Breeze by Yuneec retails at $499.99.
Yuneec’s Chief Executive Officer Tian Yu explains “With the popularity of selfies at an all-time high, we set out to create the ultimate, user-friendly flying camera which allows people to take their photos to new heights. The Breeze includes the Ultra HD and flight mode capabilities of our top end drones, and because of its size and ease of use, the Breeze seamlessly integrates into just about any activity, whether it’s a first time outdoor adventure or yearly gathering with friends and family.”
With 3D Robotics quiet since the launch of the Solo, Yuneec is seen as the closest competitor to DJI. The Breeze opens up a whole new market and it will be very interesting to see if there is a market for a selfie drone at this price point.
Tian Yu is giving one of the Grand Keynote speeches at InterDrone next week. We look forward to hearing more about The Breeze there and telling you all about it!
